WHO IS SHE?

Juliana Purnell is a trained actress of many talents. After completing her Bachelor of Dramatic Arts (Theatre Practice) at Wesley Institute (now Excelsia College) and achieving dux for all three years of her degree, she continued her studies at Sydney’s Screenwise and overseas at the Los Angeles Film Studies Centre.

She has since specialised in medical simulations and business roleplays for various companies and educational facilities, including but not limited to: QANTAS, University of Sydney, University of Western Sydney, Australian Catholic University, and Notre Dame. The roles have been diverse, from playing distressed relatives of aviation disaster victims, to portraying physical cases such as ankle sprains and speech impairments, and has even branched into psychiatric disorders. Juliana has featured in a multitude of educational videos as an actor and has assisted many university students with their communication skills through specialised roleplays and workshops.

Yet it doesn’t end there. Along with working as an actor on short films and at Luna Park Sydney, she has also developed her skills behind the scenes. Juliana has professionally stage managed theatrical productions and concerts. She has also crewed on film productions, in the roles of gaffer, boom operator, production assistant, and sound designer. Additional talents that may prove useful for casting include archery, martial arts training, tap dancing, and scuba diving (PADI Open Water Advanced and Dry Suit Diver qualified).
